Fire Division

The Fire Division is made up of call members, with the exception of the full time Fire Chief. These members respond to calls day and night, 365 days of the year when they are called upon. Fire calls include anything and everything from a building fire to motor vehicle accidents, and anything in between.

Our firefighters are highly trained, attending multiple training sessions every month.

PFR operates two Rescue/Pumper, which are Engine 1 and Engine 2. These units carry 750 and 1,000 gallons of water, respectively. In addition, these units carry various tools, equipment, and supplies for extrication from a vehicle, water rescue, and various other emergencies. PFR also operates Ladder 1, which is a 100′ rear-mount aerial apparatus which contains additional specialized tools and equipment including technical rescues, advanced extrication, and more. The last large apparatus is Tanker 1, which carries 2,500 gallons of water to the scene of a fire and is equipped with specialized water supply equipment. This truck is useful when operating at a fire incident which is outside the town’s hydrant district.

PFR also operates specialty apparatus, including a Zodiac Inflatable rescue boat, a Fire Alarm maintenance truck, utility vehicles, and trailers with specialized rescue equipment.

Our Fire Division is always recruiting new members. If you think you are looking to be a part of an exceptional family and are looking for advanced training, visit our Recruitment Page for more information.
